Hello Nuzik fans and
welcome to the latest instalment of my blog. I’d firstly like to
thank all the Nuzik supporters…..and haters…… for all your feedback
and help over the past few months. We really feel our organisation
has come far in its few months of existence and we hope it continues
to expand and develop at such a promising rate in the future!
Anyway, like Nuzik Dude, this month my blog will pick out who I
think has the potential to go far in MMA from the UK.
Ronnie Mann – Having seen Mann compete in Sport Jujitsu competitions
around the UK when competing myself a few years back, you always
knew he had the potential to do well in that sport and transition
relatively well to MMA. In his 3 year MMA career the youngster has
only tasted defeat once to the experience Robbie Oliver, who has
been the cage with such stars like Brad Pickett, Imanari and Jean
Silva. With Mann bouncing back with two straight wins after his loss
to Oliver, the future looks bright for this potential star and we
look forward to seeing him in the future.
Terry Etim – Despites Etim’s loss at UFC 75 against the experienced
Brazilian Gleison Tibau, Terry Etim has come a long way currently
holding a record of 10-1. This Liverpudlian has fantastic submission
skills which have been demonstrated with 9 of his wins ending in a
submission win! Etim is bound to be back in the UFC soon I
personally see him bouncing back to fly the flag for the UK scene
with a win, most probably coming by submission!
Paul Kelly – Wolflair’s Paul Kelly is another Brit flying the flag,
who has fought in a number of UK promotions and most recently
entered the octagon in the UFC. This middleweight has a fantastic
7-0 record and so far has only gone the distance once. This exciting
fighter is another Brit busting with confidence and I’m sure we’ll
see him back in the octagon soon!
Aisling Daly – After manhandling Aysen Berik at Cage Rage 24 Aisling
Daly is on a mission to become the leading women’s fighter in UK
MMA. With a perfect record so far in her career, this submission
specialist seems to have a lot of strength and power for her weight
division and we here at Nuzik are really looking forward to see her
competing again in the future. Hopefully with the Cage Rage – Elite
XC deal, we’ll be able to see her face some stiffer competition
stateside in the future too.
Paul McVeigh – Is another fighter who has had a lot of fights under
his belt, but has really come on leaps and bounds in the last few
years and hasn’t tasted defeat since a decision loss to Alex Owen in
later 2006. Since that loss he has demolished all competition put in
front of him and has stopped his opponents with a number of slick
submissions. I feel Paul will continue to improve and continue to
ply his trade successfully on the UK Scene this year!
