Pre Cage Rage 25, the Nuzik team managed to catch up
with Cage Rage Babe and the face of Nuzik, Caroline Hall in the Wembley
Plaza Hotel.
We had mixed feelings initially going into this
interview with meeting several girls in the past we were very worried
that this wouldn’t be a good idea but we were more than pleasantly
surprised to find out what a lovely girl she really is, beauty
definitely goes more than skin deep here.
Hi Caroline good to see you again. Firstly can you let
us know how you managed to become a Cage Babe?

Caroline in our Nuzik T-Shirt |
Well I’m actually best friends with Dave O’Donnell’s
(Cage Rage Promoter) cousin and basically let him know I was interested
in becoming a ring girl. Dave invited me down and I was given a trial in
a Cage Rage promo video and it sort of took off from there really!
So which was you first Cage Rage event? |
Contenders 1 |
You’ve been doing it a while now then? Do you still
enjoy it? And is it always busy being a Cage Babe, or is there a lot of
standing around while the event is going on?
Ever since I started doing this, I’ve loved it and I still do now! When an
events on, there’s no chance for standing about. If we’re not walking
the fighter to the cage in front of the fans, we’re backstage constantly
having our pictures taken. We have to work to very strict schedules as
the show goes out on TV, and the show really has to look good when it’s
seen by millions and millions. |
Oh right, so had you seen much MMA before you became a
Cage Babe?
I’d only seen a little bit, but I’ve become addicted to it ever since I
got into the business! |
Who would you say your favourite fighter is?
From the UK I’d
say Rob Broughton. Outside of the UK, it has to be Butterbean. Ever
since I met him at a Cage Rage event, we have become good friends; he’s
such a nice guy. A couple of us went out to a Pride event in Vegas and
basically the guy who was supposed to meet us and show us
around didn’t
turn up. Luckily we met up with Butterbean and him and his wife showed
us a really good time. They took us to loads of clubs as VIP’S,
chauffeured us around; we really couldn’t have had a better time. He and
his wife are really down to earth people!
That’s awesome. What would you say you favourite MMA
fight has been?
Cyborg vs. Maneoff:
it was non-stop action from start to finish
everything about this fight was great and by the end you could see both
fighters had given it there all.
We noticed that you mentioned on your MySpace, that you
have started training in MMA?
Yes, I did start training for a while, but since I’ve
moved I haven’t been able to find a club nearby. I definitely want to
start again soon as I felt I was picking it up well and keeping up with
the rest of the guys at my level.
With Cage Rage 25 showcasing the
first UK
female MMA bout and surely more female bouts to come in the future,
would you ever consider stepping in the cage?
It would actually really interest me to try it one day! But obviously that
all depends on if I develop my skills enough and if my teacher would
think I was ready to compete at this level. |

Outside of being a Cage Babe what do you do? Any other
interests?
My hobbies are my work. Obviously I’m interested in MMA and being a Cage
Rage Ring Babe, but I’m also really into racing. I do promotional work
for World Touring Cars, corporate hosting events at Brans Hatch, Racing
days etc. |
Sounds like you’re pretty busy at the moment then?!! |
Yes, and I’m looking to do more modelling as well!! |
What do you think of the UK MMA scene as a whole? |
UK MMA has so much potential,
which can be seen with the amount of
UK
fighters coming through and it’s growing very fast. Although it does
need much more money invested in it!
America
generally produces the best fighters, but they have the most money
invested into it. A lot of the top or up and coming UK
fighters still have second jobs as well as training. Obviously if they
get the chance to go professional they can add to and improve their
skills.
What advice would you give to an aspiring Cage Rage Babes? |
You obviously need to be good looking, preferably an
interest in MMA and most importantly a great personality!!
What fight are you looking to the most at Cage Rage 25? |
Oh that’s a tough one. I can’t really say one; it’s a
toss up between Broughton vs. Grove and Imanari vs. Silva.
Thanks for taking time out to talk to us; no doubt we
will see you at future Cage Rage events.
